Our Story

Westro Window Tinting was born out of a simple but frustrating problem.
Our founder and CEO, Tyler Turner, had a west-facing backyard with a beautiful view. But every afternoon, the sun would pour through the windows, flooding the home with intense heat and glare. Family dinners were disrupted, the air conditioning ran constantly (sometimes even freezing over from overuse), and energy bills kept climbing higher and higher.

Like most homeowners, Tyler tried the usual fixes—installing shades, considering expensive patio covers and roof extensions—but nothing solved the problem. The shades blocked the view without keeping the heat out, and other options cost thousands of dollars.

Then he discovered residential window tinting. The transformation was immediate:

  • The home stayed cooler and more comfortable.
  • Glare during dinner disappeared.
  • Energy bills dropped by nearly 35%.
  • Privacy improved without losing natural light or the view.

Seeing how much tinting improved his own home, Tyler realized countless other families were living with the same problem—rooms that were too hot, blinds that ruined views, and energy bills that were way too high.
